What does Mariner's trailer boat insurance cover?
Trailered powerboats, trailer yachts, sailing dinghies, beach-launched catamarans or trimarans, small cabin boats and jet boats. These boats are covered for sudden accidental physical loss or damage; damage to spars, sails, machinery, tenders, outboards, trailer, equipment and other accessories; including transportation and storage on land and use up to 200 nautical miles offshore. Racing cover for trailer yachts is available, and there are also other benefits, such as being able to claim for a tow home and legal fees too if you are involved in an accident on the water.

While we all hope nothing bad will happen, it’s important to protect not only your trailer boat, but also yourself. Even if you think your boat isn’t worth much, every boatie need to be covered for third-party liability, in the event that they are found legally liable for damage to another person’s property. How much you’ll pay to insure your trailer boat depends on a few important factors, including the type of boat, it’s value, size and age, and how you plan to use it.
